Cutting parameters of brass cnc machining:

1. Cutting speed

Cutting speed refers to the running speed of the cutting edge on the workpiece, which is one of the most basic parameters in cutting processing. For the processing of brass materials, a moderate cutting speed is generally selected, usually between 100-200mm/min. If the cutting speed is too fast, it can cause problems such as thermal deformation and increased wear of the tool; If the cutting speed is too slow, it can lead to low machining efficiency, poor surface quality, and other problems.

2. Feed rate

Feed rate refers to the length of time a tool travels on a workpiece per unit of time. The size of feed rate has a significant impact on machining quality and efficiency. For the processing of brass materials, the feed rate is generally between 0.1 and 0.2mm/r. If the feed rate is too large, it will not only increase tool wear, but also cause vibration, exacerbating the problem of poor surface quality; If the feed rate is too small, it will lead to low processing efficiency.

3. Cutting depth

Cutting depth refers to the depth at which the tool passes over the workpiece during each cutting. For the processing of brass cnc machining, the cutting depth is generally between 0.5 and 1.0mm. Excessive cutting depth not only exacerbates tool wear, but also increases surface residual stress, leading to a decrease in surface quality during machining; Cutting depth too small can lead to long cutting time and reduce machining efficiency.
